In the end we will create a feature-lenght film from several episodes that will be shot in Summer 2011 in Vienna, Kino-Style!
Another world is possible / Another world is looming
“The world we currently live in is the result of our history and the people who have shaped it. But could it be any different? Let's assume the big bang happened again, how could the world be different today, in the year 2011? Assuming technology would be the same, how different could our world be with regards to society, culture and politics, friendships and relationships?
We want to challenge paradigmas that we've come to take for granted:
A ruling class that decides for the people, monogamous relationships, the hegemony of money - couldn't it be otherwise?
The world could be a better place, but it could also be worse... or it could be just different. Which ever way, we ask you to develop your vision of a realistic utopia.
What other possibilities are there in
relationships, friendships, family
politics and government, surveillance and control
society, culture, customs and moral values...
You can choose to focus on one or more of the above.

El sistema operativo es muy sencillo; con un equipo de proyección móvil (proyector, pantalla gigante inflable, sonido y generador eléctrivo) Nómadas-Cinestesias recorre comunidades de difícil acceso a las que el cine no puede llegar. A través de la proyección gratuita de películas documentales y de ficción. “Cine en la Frontera” pretende distribuir y difundir cine hecho en Iberoamérica que aporte a la construcción de una conciencia crítica y a la valorización de la inmensa riqueza cultural y social de Latinoamérica.
Además “Cine en la frontera” apuesta por la expresión creativa de los más jóvenes a través de la realización de un taller de cine documental en la frontera que reúne a niños de Perú, Ecuador y Colombia, y de la creación de una videoteca trinacional.
A través del acceso a las nuevas tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación, y con vistas a sentar las bases de una red audiovisual andina, “Cine en la Frontera” pretende impulsar el desarrollo de estas zonas y facilitar la integración de población infantil en riesgo de exclusión.

Istanbul Express: Exploring Multilingualism across Europe is a filmmaking workshop aiming to explore common issues about languages. Participants aged 18 - 30 will answer these questions in a stimulating atmosphere, far away from clichés and preconceived ideas. They will meet locals from stopover cities, travellers in the train. They will see the cultural differences with their own eyes during these long trips. Crossing the multiple borders and experiencing different linguistic situations first-hand may be the best way to understand them.
15 films will be made in 3 weeks on the trains and 1 week in Istanbul
Film crews will meet in Tallinn (Estonia), San Sebastian (Spain) and Turin (Italy) on the 20th of September, starting the journey and finally arriving Istanbul on the 10th of October. The trains will travel through Europe and stopping at the following cities:
* Tallinn / Helsinki / Turku / Stockholm / Berlin / Prague / Bratislava / Bucharest / Istanbul
* San Sebastian / Paris / Brussels / Amsterdam / Essen / Vienna / Budapest / Sofia / Istanbul
* Turin / Ljubljana / Zagreb / Pecs / Belgrad / Skopje / Thessaloniki / Istanbul
Multilingualism and traveling are main themes this year for NISI MASA! Exactly the themes defining our new Euro-generation! Follow NISI MASA for our new projects including linguistics and exploring different geographies!
The world premiere of the films shot and edited during the project, will be made in Istanbul, the European Capital of Culture in 2010, with a series of events including screenings, panels, parties, meetings.
